Scope of Job:
LEGOLAND New York Resort is seeking energetic and creative Park Performers who are dedicated to making magical memories for families!
Main Responsibilities:
1. Perform as Various Roaming Face Characters:
· Execute performances both indoors and outdoors, adapting to varying weather conditions.
· Attend training sessions and rehearsals with other performers.
· Improvise in character during interactions with guests and other performers.
2. Scripted Performances:
· Memorize and accurately perform scripts, blocking, and choreography.
· Collaborate with directors, technical crew, costuming, and stage management teams.
3. Character Authenticity:
· Research characters’ personal traits and circumstances for authentic portrayal to the audience.
· Wear costumes, wigs, and makeup provided by the LLNY Costume team.
4. Safety Compliance:
· Adhere to safety training and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
· Maintain awareness of performer safety while on set.
5. Interactions with Guests:
· Demonstrate enthusiasm for working with children and families.
· Engage in interactions with guests while staying in character.
· Manage queue lines effectively during costume character "sidekick" duties.
6. Performance Consistency and Improvement:
· Perform consistently during assigned shifts, incorporating performance notes and feedback.
· Collaborate with other performers both onstage and offstage.
7. Green Room Etiquette and Time Management:
· Display excellent green room etiquette by being polite and conscious of peers.
· Demonstrate effective time management and punctuality.
8. Additional Duties:
· Act as the costume character "sidekick" as needed.
· Assist costume character performers in and out of costumes, manage queue lines, and ensure performer safety.
· Complete cleaning assignments for green rooms.
· Ensure proper care, handling, and storage of costumes, props, and equipment.
9. Flexibility in Work Hours:
· Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends to support resort operations.
10. Collaboration:
· Collaborate with other performers and teams to enhance the overall entertainment experience.
11. Other Duties as Assigned:
· Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Production & Operations
Qualifications & Experience
Background & Experience:
· Must be at least 16 years old.
· Friendly, polite, and customer service-oriented demeanor is required.
· Theme park experience is preferred but not required.
· Must be comfortable working with or around children.
· Performers are required to audition.
· Performance skills may include but are not limited to: Acting, Improv, Dancing (all types), physical comedy, etc.
Physical Requirements:
· Perform under varying conditions, i.e., in various inside and outside locations with varying temperatures and floor surfaces.
· Maintain conditioning for the role.
· Ability to stand or move about the park for prolonged times.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Pay Range
USD $18.50/Hr.Salary : $19
