In this role, you will be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of our guests during our busy seasonal period. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fun and dynamic environment, ensuring that all guests have a memorable and safe experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor Water Activities:
- Continuously observe guests to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Enforce safety rules and regulations to ensure safe swimming practices.
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or accidents in the water.
Emergency Response:
- Administer first aid, CPR, or use an automated external defibrillator (AED) when needed.
- Rescue swimmers in distress or danger.
- Assist with evacuations if necessary, following the facility's emergency procedures.
Safety and Maintenance:
- Maintain constant vigilance on the pool deck or splash pad area.
- Conduct safety checks on equipment and water quality.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the swimming area, removing any hazards.
- Report any unsafe conditions or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
Customer Service:
- Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide general information about facility rules, hours, and amenities.
- Promote water safety and encourage good behavior in the water.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other lifeguards, supervisors, and staff to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
- Coordinate with colleagues to cover designated shifts and breaks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Age Requirement: Must be a minimum of 16 years of age
- Certifications: Current lifeguard certification (American Red Cross or equivalent), CPR, and First Aid certification. Must be able to pass a swim test.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and capable of performing rescues and emergency procedures.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience: Previous lifeguard or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- Availability: Must be available to work during peak seasons (summer, weekends, holidays) and for shifts that may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Working Conditions:
- This position requires spending long periods outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to sit or stand for long durations and maintain focus.

All employees are responsible for the safety of themselves, their colleagues and guests (where appropriate), in line with the Group Policy (HS001) and the law. In particular, they must ensure that they follow safe working procedures for all work activities that they undertake and they must not use any tools or equipment for which they have not been trained. Where incidents do occur, they must ensure that they are reported to their line manager and must cooperate with any investigation as appropriate.
Pay Range
From USD $17.50/Hr.Salary : $18
