Key Responsibilities:
- Cashflow Management: The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s cash flow, ensuring that there is enough liquidity to meet operational and financial obligations. This could involve monitoring cash inflows and outflows, ensuring payments are made on time, and forecasting future cash needs.
- Bookkeeping: The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, which includes managing day-to-day accounting tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable, and receivable. This ensures that financial records are up to date and compliant with regulations.
- Cost and Cashflow Management Suggestions: The Accounting Manager will not only be responsible for monitoring costs and cash flow but also expected to provide insights and suggestions on how to optimize and manage these areas effectively. This may involve analyzing costs and proposing adjustments to enhance financial efficiency or reduce unnecessary expenditures.
- Forecasting: The role will involve creating and updating financial forecasts based on current and projected financial data. This helps the company plan for future expenditures and revenue, ensuring that financial goals and targets are met.
- Managing Collections and Financial Closings: The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing collections processes to ensure that outstanding payments are received promptly. They will also handle the financial closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings in compliance with accounting standards.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Experience: The ideal candidate should have at least 3-5 years of experience in accounting management or a similar role, with a solid understanding of financial operations and reporting.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple financial functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and office management software.
