| JOB SUMMARY |
Performs a variety of skilled duties related to the construction, installation, maintenance and repair of city culinary and pressurized irrigation water systems. Will operate machinery to repair and maintain the water system.
| RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Graduation from high school.
- Previous experience with underground water systems, equipment placement, residential service locations, easements and right-of-way specifications is preferred.
- Must have Utah CDL license or obtain it within 12 months.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Skilled in operating various types of tools and power equipment to perform essential functions.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with supervisor, subordinates and the public.
- Will be required to pass a drug test and background check.
- Position level depends on experience and State Water Distribution Certification.
- Must obtain State Water Distribution Certification Grade 1 within 12 months.
- RESPONSE TIME: Employee must reside within 30 minutes of City Limits (based on average Google Maps drive time) for on-call purposes. Employee can take up to 6 months to relocate within appropriate response time area.
Employment in this position is conditional upon passing a pre-employment background and drug test.
Salary : $18 - $27
