We are seeking a dependable and proactive Shipping Associate who will be our Lead. They will work closely with the Warehouse Manager in setting accurate delivery loads to customers. This individual will handle a variety of tasks and will require attention to detail, integrity, dependability and cooperation. Perfect attendance is a must. - Works with the Manager to determine shipping priorities.
- Inspects physical condition of equipment and tools for safety, maintenance, repairs or replacements.
- Reads work orders and receives oral instructions to determine work assignments or materials needed for staging
- Move products from the packing area using material handling equipment
- Sorts packaged product by specific order to pallets.
- Confirm orders by scanning boxes and stages in the warehouse.
- Bundles larger bulk orders and stages safely using warehouse equipment.
- Ensures that production orders are filled correctly, and distribution of product is completed according to schedule.
- Reviews documents for accuracy/integrity of orders (correct material/quantity) and address/method of delivery by checking specifications of materials loaded against information contained in work orders.
- Examines freight to determine loading sequences.
- Schedules specific times of shipment and modes of transportation
- Prior forklift experience helpful, not required.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Must be able to speak and write English and do simple math.
