Summary
The position is located at the Main Campus in Schnecksville and will have the function of assisting in the development, lead and administrative support to the High School Connections department. This may include assisting in grant development and reporting. This position will work collaboratively with the key departments, such as Admissions, Financial Aid and the Bursar’s office. In addition, the position will work closely with Academic Services and Student Support and Success departments in identifying faculty/instructors for both Dual Enrollment (DE) and Early College (EC) programs. The position will also assist in the recruitment and onboarding of DE and EC students. Occasional evening and weekend events will also be required. Reports to the Executive Director of High School Connections and Early College.

- Assist the executive director with recruiting students for LCCC's High School Connections program which includes visits to high school events, appointments with high school students and presentations to them and their parents.
- Assist in the development and implementation of recruitment and events calendar.
- Assist in the development and implementation of an annual calendar of course offerings with corresponding instructor/faculty.
- Develop and maintain a list of school counselors or school administrators to assist dual enrollment students with admissions requirements among others.
- Develop and maintain a process for registering students and communicating registration status to students and school counselors.
- Develop and maintain a list of presentations for use at high school or community events. Will present at high school and community events as well.
- Assist in the review and maintenance of High School Connections website and videos.
- Meet with parents and discuss the LCCC Dual Enrollment program as well as the credit programs and student services.
- Assist with logistics and preparation of open house events (fall and spring) including the annual gathering of high school guidance/career counselors.
- Coordinate and develop recruitment materials and supplies for Admissions representatives with the Marketing/College Relations department.
- Represent the High School Connections department in appropriate college committees.
- Supervise and conduct annual appraisal for staff (if applicable).
- Represent LCCC and High School Connections at select High School Advisory boards and Occupational Advisory boards and attend regularly scheduled meetings.
- Maintain up-to-date registration reports for all participating districts using ARGOS.
- Coordinate Dual to Degree recruitment events with Admissions.
- Collaborate with Career Services to promote services extended beyond graduation for Early College. Event in late spring semester.
- Organize and plan early college and dual enrollment orientation events for Fall (4), and Spring (1), semesters (in-person and virtual).
- Monitor and maintain communications in the general dual enrollment email account.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Certifications
- Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Clearance Fingerprinting)
- Demonstrated experience and willingness to help and assist students with excellent customer service outlook
- Excellent customer service skills and appropriate front desk appearance.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and teamwork environment.
- Must possess a high level of the following work skills and behaviors: teamwork/cooperation; initiative, and customer services. Ability to operate other general office equipment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform in a flexible manner. Experience secretarial and organizational skills including computer skills in MS Word, Power Point, and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bi-lingual (Spanish or Arabic).
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Three to four years’ related work experience in a high school or college setting.
