Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including prosthodontics and endodontics.
- Take X-rays as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Perform vital signs monitoring and maintain accurate patient records.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Utilize 3D scanning technology for impressions and treatment planning.
- Manage patient flow and ensure a comfortable environment for patients in the dental clinic.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Utilize Open Dental software for patient management and record keeping.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; x-ray certification is required.
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Experience with general dentistry practices is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with dental software, particularly Open Dental, is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate patient schedules.
