MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides aircraft fueling services.
- Provides aircraft lavatory and water servicing for private, corporate, cargo and designated charter aircraft.
- Provides towing and marshalling for private, corporate and designated charter aircraft.
- Coordinates and directs ramp movements for arriving and departing FBO flights.
- Operates and fuels ground service equipment such as tugs, fuel trucks, and transportation vehicles
- Completes annual, monthly, and weekly training as required. Must pass all required testing.
- Assists FBO passengers and crews with baggage, catering, cargo, ground power service, forklift service, and other services.
- Provides escort services for diesel and mogas deliveries in areas.
- Performs snow removal duties.
- Additional responsibilities may include shuttle service for passengers and crew.
- Perform light janitorial services.
- Performs work as directed by supervisor in a safe manner, including protecting the assets of LNAA and their customers including but not limited to ground service equipment, vehicles and aircraft.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
TOWING COMPETENCIES
The employee will perform supervised towing of single- engine piston, twin-engine piston, light jet, and turbo prop aircraft, ramp to ramp, ramp to hangar, and in/out of hangars until signed off by management. Once certified (signed-off) by management as completely trained the employee can tow these aircraft unsupervised. To achieve certification the employee must have on the job training of 50 supervised tows and achieve a passing score of 90% on a written towing test.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Read, write, and speak English at a basic comprehension level. Basic mathematical skills.
- Good verbal and written skills. Able to follow instructions and work independently.
- Must pass security and background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug and alcohol testing.
- Must accept shift work, including weekends and holidays.
- Valid driver’s license required and maintained that meets insurance requirements.
- Must be able to operate a motorized vehicle.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- FBO or Airline industry experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must regularly stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Lift and/or move up to 70 pounds unassisted.
- Must have sufficient visual acuity, with or without corrective lenses including close, distance, color, peripheral vision and depth perception.
- Must have sufficient auditory ability with or without audiological devices. Must be able to tolerate exposure to noise levels up to 120 decibels.
- Must be able to tolerate exposure to temperatures ranging from -20o F to 100oF; inclement weather conditions, dirt, dust, pollen other airborne particulates; exposure to airplane fuels, degreasers, de-icers and other chemicals commonly used in operating areas of airports.
- Employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
