Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Take and record patients' vital signs
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Take dental X-rays and process them for the dentist's review
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring models and trimming impressions
Skills:
- Proficient in using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for dental prosthetics
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
- Familiarity with Epic or other electronic medical record systems
- Skilled in taking dental X-rays and following proper safety protocols
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment
- Ability to assess patient needs and provide appropriate care
- Understanding of infection control protocols to prevent the spread of diseases
- Proficient in medical documentation and record keeping
