The marketing director will play a pivotal role in shaping Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation’s voice and brand across all digital platforms. Responsibilities include the creation, management, and distribution of compelling digital content to LVEDC’s website, social media channels, and digital advertising campaigns. The director will work collaboratively within LVEDC’s marketing team as well as the talent and business attraction groups on a variety of projects aimed at raising the overall brand awareness of the Lehigh Valley as well as specific tactics to attract companies in certain industries and the workforce that draws those companies here. The position requires the ability to work quickly, accurately, and creatively. The ideal candidate will have a successful record of meeting aggressive deadlines for multiple projects.
Specific duties include:
- Work with contract web designers and LVEDC teams to implement SEO tactics and UX-driven strategies to improve website design
- Research and generate content, including social media posts and website updates.
- Develop social monthly content schedule that underpins the LVEDC’s talking points for business and talent attraction
- Monitor online comments, respond when appropriate
- Review, analyze, and report data from social media and Google Analytics
- Adjust content planning through data-driven decision making
- Implement recommendations from website and social media audits
- Work with the marketing team to amplify timely proof points as part of a cohesive marketing strategy
- Work with digital marketing consultants on paid advertising campaigns
- Maintain and spread brand awareness through digital handles
- Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends on social media
- Support other functions within the marketing, communications and research group
Required skills:
