Summary
The Security Instructor will lead coordination & instruction of Public Safety / Security Officers & frontline colleagues for mandatory & voluntary education in security–related processes and safety–related programs. Programs may include any combination of the following courses, but are not limited to : Defensive Tactics, Taser, OC Spray, use of force, Baton, Verbal Judo, or the organizationally designated Crisis / Violent Patient Management program.
Job Duties
- Provide didactic & practical education of assigned curriculum to students.
- Coordinate pre–course activities, including course registration, logistics, course–prep, and communications to students.
- Responsible for set up and clean up of psychomotor stations.
- Provide course follow–up, evaluations, testing review, & course close–out for continuing education as required.
