Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to transport goods within the warehouse.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading trucks.
- Perform order picking duties to fulfill customer orders accurately and timely.
- Conduct regular inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with OSHA standards.
- Maintain an organized warehouse environment, ensuring that all materials are stored correctly.
- Collaborate with team members to build pallets and prepare shipments for delivery.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock locations.
- Engage in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, as well as order picking techniques.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and warehouse safety is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus, enabling troubleshooting of minor equipment issues.
- Experience with warehouse management systems will be advantageous for effective inventory control.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently while maintaining physical stamina throughout shifts.
