What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital & Community Outreach Manager position at Lehigh Valley Phantoms & PPL Center?
The Digital & Community Outreach Manager will be responsible for leading and implementing community & digital initiatives for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms & PPL Center. This personable, creative, and well-spoken individual will also have the goal of assisting the Director, Integrated Marketing & Community in driving overall marketing strategy & plan for Lehigh Valley Phantoms & PPL Center.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, coordinate, and implement various digital and social media strategies to drive brand awareness, revenue, and overall fandom of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms & PPL Center.
- Ideate and follow through on new ideas that drive engagement on social media platforms.
- Ensure all sponsored programs for community relations & digital assets for the Phantoms are executed according to contractual obligations by working alongside our Corporate Partnerships team.
- Build community partnerships by attending events with meLVin.
- Manage Phantoms & PPL Center app with a focus on driving new downloads, creating new engagement opportunities, and managing content release.
- Manage content creation & updating of the Phantoms & PPL Center websites.
- Oversee educational programs with a focus on creating new content and new partnerships with local universities and colleges (PhantomsU, Phantoms Shadow, Press Row Prospects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Knowledge of running social media accounts for a major/minor league sports organization
- Community minded individual with at least 1 year of proven experience working with community programs, non-profit, civic, and community groups.
- Excellent writing, organizational, and planning skills are a must.
- Confidence in building and delivering presentations, as well as engaging in public speaking opportunities to leave a lasting impression on attendees of all ages & backgrounds.
- Able to work effectively with internal and external constituents.
- Must be a motivated, self-starter capable of balancing multiple tasks.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as directed by community events and the Phantoms schedule.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
- Must be able to work outside.
