Land Surveyor

Lehr Land Surveyors is seeking a highly qualified Licensed Land Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in land surveying with a deep understanding of the profession. This position will involve leading and collaborating with survey teams and clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land surveying, project management, current survey equipment (Leica preferred), Auto-Cad, and have a passion to lead and mentor.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and mentor survey teams providing guidance and training on field and office procedures, techniques and equipment usage.

· Analyze and interpret survey data to produce accurate survey maps.

· Assist with project planning and cost estimates, ensuring projects stay on budget and within scope.

· Coordinate with survey team, clients and other professionals to ensure accuracy and completeness of survey.

· Assist with field work as needed to ensure project deadlines are met.

Required Qualifications:

· Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in land surveying, with a strong understanding of boundary, topographic and ALTA surveys.

· Proficiency in the use of surveying software including Auto Cad Civil 3D and surveying equipment including total stations, GPS and robots.

· Thorough knowledge of New York State surveying regulations, laws and local zoning codes.

· Strong project management and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

· Demonstrated problem solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong leadership in field and office operations.

· Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.

-Licensed Professional Land Surveyor or the ability to obtain licensure within a specified time frame.
