What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vending Route Driver position at Lehrkind's Coca- Cola?
The Vending Route Driver plays a vital role in the vending department success within Lehrkind’s Coca-Cola. They visit customer locations working with the Vending Coordinator to effectively keep machines stocked and products rotated. Along with the Vending Department Manager they visit, develop, and sustain key customer relationships, resolve concerns, and collect payments from individual machines.
Major responsibilities:
- Lead in the daily delivery and merchandising of product based on daily route
- Loading your delivery van
- Cleaning up after each shift, including breaking down boxes
- Responsible for machine cash/coin collections and returning that to the office to be counted and deposited
- Mobile device and manual product ordering
- Safe operation of a large vehicle in varying road and weather conditions
- Cleaning and repairing vending machines and notifying your supervisor of any issues
- Maintain a good driving record, free of accidents and speeding tickets
- Assist with order preparation when needed
Position requirements:
Strong organization skills and ability to listen, follow, and carry out directs set forth.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and effectively solve on-site problems while under potentially stressful situations.
Self-starter with a mature ability to work independently
Time-management is critical to daily success
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Works a 4 x 10 work week (4 days, 10 hours each day)
Ability to make frequent visits to multiple customers each day.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and subsequent random quarterly drug screenings.
This position is very active and requires regular walking, twisting, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing stairs. Frequently lift and/or move items between 20 – 50lbs. Potentially work in cramped and tight spaces.
