JOB TITLE: Warehouse Loader
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
PRIMARY PURPOSE: We are seeking a dependable Warehouse Loader Member who is responsible for hand building pallets of product for bulk, and route trucks. Each type of loading requires strict attention to order accuracy with respect to loading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming trucks.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
· This labor-intensive position is responsible for hand building pallets of product for bulk, and route trucks and assist with all shipping, receiving, and inventory organization operations.
- Lead in the daily task of ensuring all product pallets are built to the precise specifications of the pick-list assigned and plastic wrapped appropriately.
- Utilize the “Pick Kiosk” to ensure that product pick-lists are amended/corrected before a pallet is loaded for delivery.
- Ensure the tag bar-code is visible and stage all completed pallets.
- Ensure that product back stock and breakage is kept under control.
- Trucks: all trucks are to be completely cleaned out before loading. As you progress in skills and qualifications, you may learn to move trucks in/out of the warehouse.
- While minimal, all broken product is sorted onto a specific pallet/area to be dealt with.
- Responsible for checking dates of product when unloading trucks – no expired product leaves.
- Returned product – when product is returned, it is to be inspected for dates and damages and sorted accordingly.
- Help to efficiently carry out all product loading and unloading tasks.
- Move and transfer products between various sections of the warehouse as needed.
- Use forklifts, pallet jacks, hand carts, etc. to transfer and deliver goods.
- Label warehouse stock for quick and easy identification and retrieval.
- Double-check items to verify the accuracy of outgoing orders.
- Ensure tools and equipment are kept clean and in working order.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to upper management.
- Follow all warehouse policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Always adhere to health and safety rules and regulations.
- Wear protective clothing and equipment as required.
- Operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently according to company protocol.
- Work with other warehouse team members to effectively complete assigned tasks.
MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Some type of manual work experience. Ability to lift heavy objects.
Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Experience: Forklift and pallet jack experience a huge plus
Certification/Licensure: Valid driver’s license and/or Valid Identification
Required: Must be Forklift Certified within 90days of employment.
SKILL/ABILITIES:
- Must be able to communicate effectively and have interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written directives.
- Must be able to read, write, have basic math skills, and input electronic data.
- Must have the ability to ability to effectively solve on-site problems.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push heavy products.
