The Manufacturing Operations Site Intern is responsible for assigned projects within a manufacturing operations site. This may include reviewing, analyzing and/or tracking orders, creating templates and managing completion of visual management and daily management activities, troubleshooting and problem solving, and assisting in various tasks and works interdepartmentally to ensure On Time Delivery (OTD) of core products, efficiency in operations, and that products are provided to customers at the highest quality.

- Rotate time with operations schedulers and process owners and perform necessary administrative work
- Support project activities, i.e., working in Excel, data analysis, help with problem solving and action planning, etc.
- Complete status checks with site directors and work with value stream leaders to adjust assigned work, as needed.
- Collaborate with members of all manufacturing teams, as well as management, to ensure open communication and teamwork.
- Adhere to all departmental protocols, rules, and safety regulations and understand compliance requirements.

- Engagement and Retention: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by managing employee relations, addressing employee concerns, and resolving conflicts. Implement policies and procedures to promote employee engagement and connection between their work and the overarching objectives.
- Improving Leadership Effectiveness and Performance: Enhance the skills, abilities, and behaviors of leaders within an organization. Improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the organization.
- Enhancing Organization and Culture: Identify and implement initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness, improving the structure, systems, and environment within a company to create a more efficient, effective, and positive workplace.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required, Master’s degree in business, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, or related field preferred.
- 10 years of proven experience leading in human resources and/or business partnerships.
- Ability to synthesize business data and develop innovative and holistic HR solutions that are forward-thinking and innovative. Strong intuition for business and ability to apply human capital implications.
- Demonstrated ability to promote an inclusive work environment and support workforce diversity.
- Solid team skills, the ability to build relationships, and be able to work efficiently and effectively with associates at all levels of the organization. Strong understanding/ application of organizational change and process excellence principles.
- Based in Chicago area as a primary location. This role offers relocation assistance.
