Role Overview
- Provide premium customer service and maintain superb customer satisfaction before, during and after a sale
- Engage and build relationships with customers by sharing your interest, passion and experience in photography
- Collect customer information and contribute to maintaining the store’s CRM system
- Learn technical and practical features of the entire Leica product line
- Assist customers in the selection of products for themselves and as gifts
- Develop technical and artistic photographic knowledge
Brand
- Be a genuine Brand Ambassador for Leica. Understand the desire and appreciation of the legacy, technological innovation and exquisite design of our products
- Promote products by liaising with Leica and third party resources
- Assist in providing in-store and off-site demonstrations of full product line, as needed
- Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge for consumer and professional photography and sport optic products
- Cross-sell/promote accessories, Leica Akademie offerings and store photographic exhibits and events as related to product purchase
- Responsible for monthly/yearly sales goals
- Adhere to premium customer service procedures (‘Thank You’ notes, follow-up e-mails, personal notification of upcoming events, etc.)
- Gather, enhance and maintain customer data for store CRM system
- Assist in developing and maintaining VIP relationships
- Maintain contact with potential and current customers
- Ensure cash handling procedures and transactions, orders and paperwork are all completed and maintained accurately
- Maintain store services and physical presentation
- Positively interact and cooperate with all team members
- Such other duties as the General Manager may, at times, reasonably require
- Assist with in store / via phone / via web & social media
- Available to provide support for any other Leica Camera Inc. requirement potentially including on-site support to other Leica Stores and consumer shows (i.e. PPE, PMA)
Requirements
- Knowledge of the Leica brand, it’s history and products
- Premium retail and/or customer service experience

- PC literate (ideally: MAC; MS Office Suite; POS System (Lightspeed); Imaging Software (Lightroom/Photoshop)
- Photography experience a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Previous sales experience, particularly in the photography or consumer electronics industry, is a plus.
- Strong passion for photography and an understanding of photography concepts.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Sales-driven with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Technically savvy and comfortable with using point-of-sale systems.
