REPORTING STRUCTURE: The Electricity Instructor reports to the Building Principal.JOB DESCRIPTION: This individual is accountable for teaching and supervising students in the Electricity Chapter 74 Career Vocational Technical Education (CVTE) state frameworks and curriculum disciplines.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Development and implementation of departmental curriculum objectives and competencies.The planning, developing, and integration of the department's curriculum where appropriate.Planning with the Electricity program staff to implement changes in the curriculum and/or new program developments.Providing input in faculty/team performance evaluation of students at the end of each marking period for grading purposes.Responsible for assuring equal educational opportunity to all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, age, marital status, religion, gender identity, national origin, sexual orientation, homelessness, or disability.Performance of other job-related duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS: Massachusetts teachers' licensure in Electricity Chapter 74 or the ability to obtain within one year. Current OSHA-10 and NEC Certifications. Five years of full-time employment experience directly related to the electrical industry.Evidence of mastery of various teacher competencies and understanding of instructional techniques. Demonstrated skill and working knowledge of various aspects of the industry, including but not limited to residential and industrial.
