Jr. Graphics Software Developer

As a Graphics Software Developer, you'll work at the forefront of technology, developing critical training systems like the CIAT - Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Trainer. Here, you'll craft real-time, three-dimensional graphics systems including a submarine periscope simulation, a submarine bridge simulation, and a ship weapons simulation. This cutting-edge visual simulation is used in a variety of naval training and simulation systems, utilized throughout the US Navy. All software is developed in a Linux environment, and written in C and OpenGL, utilizing the Unreal graphics engine and various software packages.

Ideal candidates bring expertise in areas like cluster computing, signal processing, Kubernetes, numerical simulation, multi-threading, GPUs, data visualization, underwater acoustic modeling, or sonar systems.

Required Education & ExperienceEducation : B.S. / B.A. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Citizenship : U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance (Interim Secret clearance required upon employment).
Skills : Minimum 0-2 years of developing graphics applications, primarily in C utilizing the Unreal graphics engine, strong Linux proficiency and some experience with game programming, 3D graphics development, or other visual simulation systems
Preferred ExperienceEducation : Advanced degree, ongoing education in computer science, or an advanced math / physics background.
Skills : Familiarity with high performance computing, graphics hardware and GPU internals experience, or developing for Virtual Reality headsets.
Tools : Experience with OpenSceneGraph, 3DS Max, Maya, Photoshop, or similar modeling tools.

Pay Range :
Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
