Leidos is seeking a dynamic and skilled Cyber Security Solutions Architect to play a crucial role in the USDA's Digital Infrastructure Services Center's cloud modernization initiatives. This position is key to safeguarding data and infrastructure while making a significant impact within government systems as they transition to the cloud. A strong understanding of diverse cloud technologies, along with expertise in assessment and authorization processes and NIST 800-53 controls, is essential for this role. Primary Responsibilities :
Work closely with the USDA Digital Infrastructure Services Center (DISC) to develop and implement effective measures and tools to safeguard data, applications, and infrastructure in cloud environments.
Design and manage advanced encryption, network security protocols, and threat detection and response systems.
Create flexible and scalable cyber solutions that adapt seamlessly to the organization's cloud evolution.
Ensure that all security solutions adhere to performance, compliance, and best practice standards.
Assist in DISC's Assessment and Authorization efforts, playing a critical role in security protocols.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including system engineers, developers, and project managers, to integrate cybersecurity throughout the system development life cycle.
Provide expert guidance and insights to government stakeholders navigating cybersecurity challenges while aligning with mission objectives.
Identify and manage technical risks and opportunities, ensuring effective resolution and validation of corrective actions.
Support technical proposal efforts as needed, contributing to future projects.
Foster strong relationships with senior USDA cyber stakeholders to promote collaboration and best practices.
Uphold and promote a culture of ethics, respect, and the core values of Leidos.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with 12 years of relevant experience.
Certifications such as CISSP, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or GIAC Security Expert (GSE) are required.
Capability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity architecture with a proven track record in designing secure systems for complex environments.
Experience deploying advanced cybersecurity measures for cloud or hybrid environments.
Demonstrated knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.
Thorough understanding of DoD security policies, including NIST 800-53 and DISA STIGs.
Extensive knowledge in cloud security, compliance, and governance policies.
Preferred Qualifications :
Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or Computer Science.
Additional certifications in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF) or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) are a plus.
Background in Enterprise Data Management, Integration, and Analytics.
Experience working directly with USDA clients is a significant advantage.
Familiarity with Third-Party Assessment Organization (3PAO) assessments will be beneficial.
