Job Summary :
Become an integral part of our team enhancing a state-of-the-art Cyber Program. We are searching for a knowledgeable Technical Instructor to train a diverse audience of DoD range engineers on operating the world's largest cyber range, the Persistent Cyber Range Environment (PCTE). The ideal candidate will excel in delivering courses both online and in person, assessing student progress against course objectives, and providing facilitation support to fellow instructors. Key Responsibilities :
Exercise Support : Collaborate with the live exercise control team (white cell) to ensure successful execution of collective training events.
Cyber Exercises and Operations : Offer advisory expertise to the team and participate in collective assessments within PCTE.
Operational Design : Guarantee that every aspect of the exercise aligns with the defined training objectives for participants.
Organizational Management : Manage student rosters, track progress, evaluate assessments, and provide meaningful feedback in final evaluations.
Basic Qualifications :
Educational Background : Bachelor's degree in a technical field (IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science) or equivalent experience, with a minimum of three (3) years in technical instruction, ideally in a related IT field delivered through both virtual and in-residence formats.
Operational Software Experience : Familiarity with IT operations, VMware vSphere or NSX, Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory, Linux, Atlassian Jira / Confluence, Puppet or Ansible, and network routing is beneficial.
Training Operations : Demonstrated experience in developing and conducting training programs, with a strong grasp of the technologies involved.
Communication Skills : Exceptional communication and presentation skills, adept at working both independently and as part of a team. Ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Security Clearance : An active TS / SCI security clearance is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications :
Previous familiarity or experience with PCTE.
Experience in DevOps practices.
Holding a CompTIA Security certification (or another DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification).
