Description
The Director of Business Development for the US Air Force and Space Force is responsible for identifying, developing, and qualifying information technology and digital modernization opportunities, driving substantial growth in the Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos.
This leader will play a crucial role in shaping and securing new business by focusing on customer engagement, developing compelling value propositions, evaluating the competitive landscape, advocating for corporate solutions, and promoting the Leidos brand. Responsibilities include contributing to growth strategies, identifying business opportunities sought by our customers, and developing innovative solutions to meet their challenges. This position will involve defining technical solutions and performing competitive assessments. You will actively identify potential customers within the US Air Force and Space Force.
This role will include managing competitive assessments, building strong partnerships with teammates and suppliers, developing key themes for success, participating in bid and proposal processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the pursuit duration. You will partner with industry leaders, Subject Matter Experts, and various stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals. Occasional travel may be required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the identification, development, and management of opportunities within the US Air Force and Space Force to ensure successful qualification and capture.
- Thrive in managing multiple simultaneous pursuits and converting them into qualified opportunities.
- Identify gaps and emerging requirements, perform market analyses, execute customer engagement plans, and work closely with marketing teams.
- Exercise sound judgment, interact with all management levels and stakeholders, and demonstrate tact and diplomacy.
- Be successful by excelling in multi-tasking, understanding the business development processes, and having a strategic vision.

Pay Range : $148,850.00 - $269,075.00
