Join our team as an Electric Transmission Line Design Engineer where you'll collaborate with a dynamic group in a fast-paced environment, addressing complex challenges in electric transmission.
As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing electric transmission line projects for both extra high-voltage (EHV) overhead and underground systems, collaborating with some of the largest utilities in the country. Your work will involve applying NESC, ASCE, ACI, and other relevant standards to projects involving voltage conversion, new capacity, and infrastructure replacements. You will conduct engineering analyses, prepare bidding documents, draft plans and specifications, and create material procurement and construction documents.
This position will require engagement with a multi-person team at Leidos, working closely with clients as well as project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management personnel.
Work Location : This position is remote; the successful candidate must reside in Michigan and be willing to travel for site visits. Ideal home locations include :
