Leidos Engineering is looking for a Project Manager to lead and coordinate projects for a major electric utility client. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in managing complex projects and programs associated with the planning, design, and construction of electrical grid infrastructure. This position entails client-facing responsibilities and requires expertise in navigating regulatory landscapes to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
The Project Manager will join our established Project Management Office (PMO) in the Power Delivery Solutions Division, which provides consulting services to both public and investor-owned electric utilities. These services encompass overall project management tasks across comprehensive engineering design for electrical transmission and distribution, substation, and transmission line projects nationwide.
As a Project Manager, you can expect to :
- Manage utility programs and projects, ensuring completion of all project phases efficiently and within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Collaborate with utility management teams across various areas including planning, asset management, engineering, construction, and regulatory relations.
- Oversee a range of utility projects for both public and investor-owned electric utilities.
- Manage project costs, schedules, and scope, developing recovery plans to stay within approved parameters.
- Engage with client stakeholders through progress reporting, capital expenditure forecasting, earned value financial management, schedule adherence, and risk mitigation for substation, transmission, and distribution projects.
- Lead a team of assistant project managers, project schedulers, controllers, siting and public outreach experts, environmental personnel, and multi-discipline engineering teams.
- Communicate effectively with all program and function support areas including clients, project teams, and subcontractors.
- Assist client procurement and estimating departments with bid document preparation, proposal responses, and cost estimates.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project dashboard reports and KPI tracking.
- Oversee the development of outage and construction execution plans.
- Ensure a positive working relationship among project team members, line managers, and interfacing organizations.
- Draft comprehensive technical and project reports.
- Coordinate client billing and resolve invoice issues.
- Develop and prepare project budgets.
- Support and enforce Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes.
- Maintain and coordinate project schedules.
- Participate in field activities and site visits to enhance project execution.
- Support and oversee construction management activities.

Pay Range : $72,150.00 - $130,425.00.
