The Navy-Marine Corps Business Area is seeking a passionate Fires Subject Matter Expert to lead support for the Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA) in the area of C5ISR systems for Program Managers and the Fleet Marine Force (FMF). Join our team focused on providing essential engineering, testing, evaluation, and support to help increase the capabilities of our Marine Corps.
The Fires Subject Matter Expert will play a crucial role in enhancing the performance of Marine Corps systems through rigorous testing, engineering, and experimentation efforts. This position will report to the Ground C2 Systems Engineer.

THE CHALLENGE (Primary Responsibilities)
- Install and configure AFATDS, JADOCS, and THSv2 to support critical test events and operational exercises.
- Operate AFATDS to manage fire missions and Variable Message Format (VMF) communications between various systems and simulation tools.
- Set up shipboard and tactical radios with AFATDS, transmitting VMF over Radio Frequency to various users.
- Connect Joint Tactical Common Operational Picture Workstation (JTCW) clients with AFATDS using the Effects Management Tool (EMT).
- Integrate JTCW / EMT clients with a Tactical COP Server (TCS) to receive essential track and overlay data.
- Utilize JADOCS to support targeted fire support missions effectively.
- Ensure seamless exchange of data among AFATDS, JADOCS, GCCS, Link-16, and VMF within network configurations.
- Provide hands-on training sessions for personnel on the installation, configuration, and operation of fire support systems.
- Conduct testing events on Naval vessels, both pier side and at sea, employing comprehensive test planning, execution, analysis, and reporting.
- Develop detailed test cases, procedures, and functional checklists for fires-related evaluations.
- Troubleshoot and document technical issues, providing briefings to test teams regarding fire support command and control systems.
- Design and troubleshoot network architectures that integrate multiple ground command and control systems.
- Collaborate with aviation systems for a unified operational picture.
- Establish and manage a functional Fire Support cell to coordinate and respond to calls for fire.
- Create and execute relevant scenarios to validate fire support systems and network architecture during joint and coalition events.

Pay Range : Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
