The NISC IV HQ Training Group (HQTG) at Leidos is currently seeking an IT Specialist to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Oklahoma City, OK.
The IT Specialist will play a pivotal role in providing system support services for the Student Controller Objective Recorder for Evaluations (SCORE). This system is crucial for recording audio and video during air traffic control (ATC) trainees’ evaluations. We are looking for a candidate with strong skills in audio and video equipment setup and maintenance.
Clearance :
Although a clearance is not necessary to apply, the ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Suitability through the FAA is required if hired. Note that this process can take 5-8 weeks before a start date.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Maintain the SCORE system, including daily equipment verification, inventory management, and services to safeguard data.
- Perform various tasks to ensure continuous and efficient SCORE system operation.
- Resolve any hardware, LAN / WAN, application, or software connection issues to minimize downtime.
- Manage backup and recovery processes to restore systems during upgrades or diagnostics.
- Initiate local backups daily after 1600 Monday to Friday.
- Support users in utilizing computer equipment through necessary training and assistance.
- Assist in setting up new equipment and upgrading existing systems.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and adhere to service management principles.
- Configure systems and keep them updated with the latest software and security measures.
- Monitor software, hardware, security, and connectivity issues routinely.
- Conduct daily Health Checks on each asset before 0700 Monday to Friday.
- Perform regular assessments of computer performance and efficiency.

The anticipated pay range is between $67,600.00 and $122,200.00. This range is provided as a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Various factors, including job responsibilities, education, experience, and market data, will influence the final salary offer.
