Description
Leidos is looking for a Project Scheduler to join our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) at Fort Meade, MD, on a hybrid (onsite / remote) basis. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for multiple agency migration projects. Strong experience in MS Project and scheduling is essential for this role.
PROGRAM SUMMARY :
Defense Enclave Services (DES) : Leidos collaborates with DISA to develop a modern digital enterprise that provides a robust infrastructure and unified architecture aimed at delivering cohesive combat support capabilities to our warfighters.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT :
Must possess an active Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required).
Primary Responsibilities :
- Facilitate schedule reviews to ensure project managers remain accountable for timelines and effectively report issues to program and customer leadership.
- Support the task order program manager and project managers in managing workload surges and ad hoc assignments.
- Apply scheduling principles to create and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and related documentation, adhering to best practices and standards.
- Implement and manage project scheduling processes, developing baseline schedules that align with contractual requirements, while monitoring and reporting performance against those baselines to meet cost and schedule goals.
- Utilize strong communication skills to work collaboratively with various functional areas to identify and maintain all scheduling tasks and dependencies.
- In partnership with the Project Manager and insights from the cross-functional team, generate, publish, and maintain an accurate Master Schedule using MS Project to meet customer requirements and milestones.
- Work closely with PMO, development, operations, and other project teams to formulate, update, and integrate detailed schedules into the Master Schedule.
- Provide hands-on development of layered schedules to track project progress and its contribution to overall program objectives.
- Create resource-loaded project schedules using the performance work statement (PWS), technical proposals, WBS, and guidance from senior managers.
- Develop and maintain connections and inter-links among related projects, ensuring all internal and external dependencies are tracked for risk management.
- Identify major milestones, decision points, and other critical project events.
- Determine critical paths and task dependencies, and maintain the baseline schedule, tracking any changes weekly.
- Conduct 'what if' scenarios within the schedule to evaluate impacts.
- Establish schedule version control processes and ensure compliance throughout schedule development and maintenance.
- Engage with team members and stakeholders to estimate new work, track actuals, and identify remaining tasks.
- Champion risk mitigation and issue management through diligent schedule analysis.
- Generate and present schedule reports comparing planned vs. actual work.

Pay Range :
Pay Range $80,600.00 - $145,700.00
