As an IT Systems Technician , you'll join our Leidos Service Center IT support team, working under our IT manager to ensure the stability and performance of thin clients, servers, and network architecture, including Cisco and Juniper fiber switches and Passive Optical LAN networks. You'll engage in hands-on hardware tasks, including deploying, repairing, and upgrading network equipment while prioritizing service requests through a customer ticketing system.
Key Responsibilities :
- Environment Management : Keep Microsoft-based servers, databases, PCs, and network printers running efficiently.
- Network Connectivity Support : Deploy and troubleshoot local LAN PON systems, including ONTs, and make adjustments to the fiber infrastructure as needed.
- Hardware Maintenance : Provide hardware support, asset destruction, and monitor UPS systems in secure locations.
- User Assistance : Offer Tier 1 support for Cisco VOIP Phone systems and maintain communication with 600 tenants.
- Service Desk Management : Manage service desk tickets, resolve cabling issues, and provide occasional on-call support.
- Project Management : Plan and implement IT improvements, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery, while pursuing ongoing training.
- Physical Requirements : Be prepared to move or lift up to 60lbs and visit three additional sites within 6 miles.
