Leidos is actively seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to contribute to the United States Space Force (USSF). In this role, you will help develop innovative software solutions to enhance the defense capabilities of the Space Systems Command (SSC) Cyber Operations Branch, focusing on safeguarding ground and space systems from cyber threats. We are looking for a proactive leader who excels in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and consistently delivers outstanding results.
Primary Responsibilities :
Support, design, maintain, and monitor internal and external networks to ensure optimal performance.
Implement and manage all systems, applications, and security configurations effectively.
Troubleshoot network performance issues, and establish and test disaster recovery plans. Recommend necessary upgrades, patches, and new hardware or software solutions.
Provide technical support and guidance to users, ensuring their needs are met promptly.
Utilize your knowledge and discretion to achieve operational goals and objectives.
Please note that this role will require privileged access, and compliance with DODM 8570.01M regulations is required.
Basic Qualifications :
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related STEM discipline with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems, Microsoft Exchange Server, as well as RHEL operating systems and their associated hardware.
Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating in high-performance team environments.
Experience with Group Policy design and configuration.
Familiarity with CISCO networking, switching, and virtualization technologies.
Working knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies, including data backup solutions.
Understanding of communication security (COMSEC) policies and their integration.
Experience with IL4 and higher network environments / systems.
Familiarity with DoD policies related to system and network administration.
Basic understanding of the Risk Management Framework and its application to network / information systems.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Bash scripting and Python.
Must hold certifications such as CCNA, Security , CCDE, or a DoD 8140 Basic Proficiency certification.
Preferred Qualifications :
A Top Secret (TS) security clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility is highly desired.
Previous relevant experience in Space Systems Command, particularly within the DoD or industry.
Experience with Defensive Cyber Operations (SSC / SZWO) is beneficial.

Pay Range : Pay Range $50,050.00 - $90,475.00
