Join Leidos as a Lead Network Solutions Engineer and play a key role in supporting the United States Space Force (USSF). You will be involved in developing innovative software to enhance Cyber Operations within the Space Systems Command (SSC). This position requires a proactive leader and a problem solver skilled in delivering exceptional results within a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Design and plan advanced network systems tailored to organizational needs, focusing on optimized data flow and robust network security.
Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls, alongside software and networking protocols such as TCP / IP.
Monitor and manage network performance continuously, ensuring operational efficiency through regular assessments and bandwidth optimization.
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly, addressing connectivity challenges, outages, slowdowns, and device failures.
Implement comprehensive network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection / prevention systems, to safeguard against unauthorized access.
Maintain thorough documentation of network configurations, designs, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
Conduct regular upgrades of network hardware and software, performing preventive maintenance to ensure a secure and up-to-date infrastructure.
Collaborate closely with IT teams, including system administrators and security engineers, to optimize and secure the overall network infrastructure.
Basic Qualifications :
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related STEM or engineering discipline with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 8 years of experience.
Certification in JNCDA, JNCDS-DC, JNCDS-SEC, CCNA, or an equivalent credential is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications :
A Top Secret (TS) security clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility is highly desirable.
Experience in relevant DoD and / or Industry roles within Space Systems Command.
Familiarity with Defensive Cyber Operations (SSC / SZWO) program office will be an advantage.
