Your Role :

As a Mid-Level Naval Architect , you will be integral to a team that combines hands-on naval architecture with innovative engineering solutions. Work on a variety of vessels, including steel, aluminum, and composite crafts, ranging from 20' to 250' in length, thus gaining a comprehensive experience in naval architecture.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct detailed engineering calculations grounded in first principles and develop practical solutions for design challenges.
  • Assist Project Managers in vessel design, offering technical expertise to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Uphold and enhance Engineering Standards and Procedures to guarantee high quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineers to document and resolve complex design issues.
  • Complete engineering tasks punctually utilizing industry-standard software and protocols.
  • Provide onsite engineering services to the US Navy Combatant Craft Division at Little Creek Amphibious Base.

Required Qualifications :

  • U.S. Citizenship is required, with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in naval architecture or marine engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of marine engineering principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (BS / RINA / LR / ISO / USCG / ABYC).
  • Proficiency in CAD software, specifically AutoCAD and Rhino.
  • Solid skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Advanced degrees (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in Naval Architecture or a related field.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
  • Experience in shipyards or boatyards.

    Pay Range : $67,600.00 - $122,200.00. This range is a guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation. Several factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity will be considered when extending an offer.
