Description
The Airborne Systems Operations, part of the Defense Sector at Leidos, is seeking multiple Network Solutions Engineers to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact within the Air Force Research Lab, Air Force Lifecycle Management Center, and various DoD missions, using your skills in software design and development, hardware integration, and testing.
In this role, you will support a diverse portfolio of programs through laboratory experimentation, flight testing, and deployment of cutting-edge solutions.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Lead discussions to communicate hardware and software issues with customers and end users, and facilitate vendor meetings.
- Track and document hardware and software systems across various locations and programs.
- Design and engineer network environments, enclaves, and systems.
- Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot internal and external networks, including encryptors, firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Engineer, monitor, and manage virtual environments, specifically VMware.
- Oversee and troubleshoot storage appliances, collaborating with vendor support when necessary.
- Research and implement solutions for Microsoft and Linux products, ensuring smooth operation.
- Handle Active Directory, Group Policy, routing, and DNS tasks, providing expert troubleshooting.
- Execute processes for managing information assurance vulnerability alerts (IAVAs) and system security scanning, ensuring timely identification and remediation of vulnerabilities.
- Initiate IAVA responses, oversee system security scans, and implement necessary patches and updates.
- Review logs for vulnerabilities, pinpoint potential issues, and engineer solutions for remediation.
- Plan and manage network and server installations, including both hardware and software upgrades.

Pay Range : $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
