Responsible for managing a team that plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules, and coordinates the flow of materials to meet production requirements. Duties may include scheduling equipment and personnel; confirming material supply and demands; and preparing work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts.

Pay Range
Pay Range $80,600.00 - $145,700.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for managing a team that plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules, and coordinates the flow of materials to meet production requirements. Duties may include scheduling equipment and personnel; confirming material supply and demands; and preparing work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts.
- Manage a production control planning team
- Manage order demand within CostPoint (Inventory Reservations CMR, or MRP)
- Manage a requisitioning team for raw material and outsource processing
- Maintain a master production schedule.
- Conduct status meetings with internal and external customers
- Perform capacity analysis and interface with a Business Development Team
- Maintain and report on performance metrics such as On-time Delivery, Requisition Processing Delays, Etc.
- Conduct performance evaluations
- Work continually to drive improvements to on time delivery.
- Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field with 5 or more years of production control leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (DOD Preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered.
- Familiarity with AS9100 Aerospace Standard.
- A strong working knowledge of Deltek CostPoint. Both MRP and CMR experience is required.
- Prior experience with multi-resource scheduling (Experience in a CNC machining environment is a plus).
- Knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, Leader Standard Work, Etc.).
- Experience using root cause analysis techniques (Fishbone, 5 Why, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to lead meetings with large groups of people.
- Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
- Knowledge of raw materials, hardware, and finishing procedures to produce machined parts.
- Ability to work with division and corporate Leadership to contribute to Strategic Planning and long-term vision for the department.
- Commodity and strategic buyer experience is desired.
- Understanding of material and operational traceability requirements.
- Experience using Solumina MES.
