Are you ready to make a significant impact in the field of military health? Join Leidos as a dedicated Program Evaluation Specialist on our esteemed research team. In this role, you will enhance evaluation capabilities at the Naval Health Research Center, focused on assessing various health and readiness programs for the Department of Defense. You will engage in a range of evaluations, including process and impact evaluations for active duty service members, their families, and government personnel. Collaborate closely with a team of Principal Investigators, Data Analysts, Research Assistants, and Subject Matter Experts to design and execute evaluations on both new and existing programs, while analyzing diverse data sets and preparing insightful reports.
This is a full-time position based in San Diego, CA, featuring a hybrid work schedule that includes on-site and telework options. Please note, candidates must reside within commuting distance to San Diego to fulfill on-site requirements at the Naval Health Research Center, with a minimum of two mandatory office days each week for effective study execution. The number of on-site days may vary based on program needs.
Position Responsibilities
- Support the growth of a program evaluation division focused on new and existing Department of Defense programs.
- Design interview guides and protocols for comprehensive program evaluations.
- Develop metrics for outputs, outcomes, and impact assessments of various programs.
- Conduct thorough literature reviews on relevant topics.
- Engage with stakeholders and sponsors to maintain clear communication.
- Perform detailed statistical analyses on quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods data.
- Interpret statistical findings and prepare technical reports and manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.
- Deliver presentations and briefings to project sponsors, military leaders, and at professional conferences.
- Provide actionable recommendations to improve existing programs.
- Document lessons learned to enhance future evaluations.
