The Southeast Acoustic Measurement Facility (SEAFAC) serves as a vital acoustic measurement center for Pacific Fleet submarines. Located on Back Island, just outside of Ketchikan, Alaska, SEAFAC is operated by NSWCCD Code 70 and Leidos. The facility encompasses six buildings, a pier, and two major vessel test sites : a static site for noise investigations at various depths and an underway site for conducting research at different speed conditions and depths.
This role offers an exciting opportunity as a Security and Logistics Specialist for the Leidos SEAFAC Operations & Maintenance contract. You will be responsible for managing reception and logistics operations, including personnel and support vessel scheduling, shipping and receiving tasks, and security administration related to classified mail handling at the Southeast Alaska Acoustic Measurement Facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage logistics and scheduling for personnel and vessels.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving operations while ensuring compliance with security protocols.
- Maintain effective communication with government personnel and functional peer groups.
- Perform facility scheduling, manage records, and oversee access control and physical security measures.
- Administer classified and unclassified property inventory and assist with customer purchasing.
- Participate in data calls with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Conduct research to ensure compliance with standards and effective procedure implementation.

This position will be based at a government site and may require varying hours, including evenings and weekends. Candidates should be physically capable of lifting and carrying objects up to 50 pounds, as well as navigating steep inclines unassisted.
