We are seeking a dedicated Database Administrator to support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of complex IT systems. In this role, you will manage IT system infrastructure while ensuring the integrity, security, and availability of multiple databases. You will have the opportunity to engage in disaster recovery planning, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and data monitoring.
Your responsibilities will also include administering and developing policies and procedures for database security and integrity. You will assess and recommend various database management system (DBMS) products, and perform activities to ensure top performance and compliance with business requirements. This role encompasses administering Oracle, SQL Server, and SYBASE Database and Application servers, as well as organizing data for efficient querying and storage processes.

Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure the integrity, security, and availability of databases.
- Possess direct experience with Oracle, including OEM management, SQL, DDL, PL / SQL, triggers, scheduled jobs, and partition management.
- Lead the migration process from Oracle on-premises solutions to AWS RDS.
- Create and maintain database user accounts.
- Administer, maintain, and enforce policies ensuring database security and integrity.
- Optimize how data is organized and formatted for improved query and storage efficiency.
- Evaluate project requirements and recommend suitable DBMS products.
- Provide comprehensive administration services across Oracle, SQL Server, and SYBASE databases.
- Manage disaster recovery, performance analysis, tuning, index maintenance, and data monitoring.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for robust database security and integrity.
- Collaborate with Database Engineers on architecture changes.
- Oversee monitoring and optimization for database system performance.
- Direct the installation and administration of database management systems, databases, tables, and views.
- Stay up-to-date with current and emerging database tools, strategies, and technologies.
Basic Qualifications
Applicants must have ten (10) years of experience as a DBA in comparable programs and contracts, alongside a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited institution. Alternatively, four (4) years of additional DBA experience can substitute for a degree.
