The Leidos Cyber & Analytic Business Area is in search of a talented Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our dynamic team supporting a large-scale, fast-paced operational program. An active TS / SCI Polygraph is required prior to application.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity, security, and availability of various databases, with responsibilities encompassing disaster recovery, performance analysis, tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring. Additionally, the DBA will be involved in administering, maintaining, developing, and implementing policies and procedures to ensure maximum database security and integrity.
Primary Responsibilities :
Conduct daily database administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting to resolve system database and replication issues.
Monitor database performance and memory utilization using standard performance tools.
Perform system updates and manage Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) patching.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and problems.
Execute database recovery procedures as necessary.
Modify existing database scripts for enhanced system support and develop new scripts for recurring database issues.
Create and execute SQL queries for both routine and ad hoc reporting needs.
Facilitate data transition / ingestion from legacy systems.
Translate requirements and data into effective database schemas by creating or modifying queries, scripts, and macros to organize data efficiently.
Recommend practices for optimal design and implementation of GOTS / COTS databases and applications.
Contribute to the development of database structures aligning with the architecture of the overall system.
Assist in the development of database software, including parsers and loading software.
Security Clearance Requirement :
Candidates must possess an active TS / SCI with polygraph to be considered for this role.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline and 8-12 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree with 6-10 years of relevant DBA experience. Additional experience may substitute for formal education.
At least 3 years of demonstrated experience as a Database Administrator.
A minimum of 3 years of experience specifically in Oracle Database Administration.
Proven experience in implementing and maintaining database security.
Experience in conducting database performance tuning and monitoring.
Solid troubleshooting skills for resolving database issues.
Experience in installing, configuring, and upgrading RDBMS software.
Proficiency in procedural languages such as PL / SQL.
Preferred Qualifications :
Familiarity with real-time highly available data replication technologies, such as Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Streams, Oracle Golden Gate, and Sybase Replication Server.
Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology and working in Agile teams.
Extensive experience with database design and development.
Deep understanding of various databases, primarily Oracle and / or non-relational databases like PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
Experience using Oracle SQL / PLSQL, along with general SQL knowledge.
Experience with MongoDB and / or Cassandra.
