We are looking for an experienced, cleared Senior Database Engineer / Oracle Database Administrator who holds an active TS / SCI Polygraph. Join a dedicated and high-performing agile team utilizing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology as part of a large, fast-paced program. This role involves using Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and test automation tools within a comprehensive suite of teamwork tools. The program follows DEVOPS best practices, implementing robust development, test, and production environments to support ongoing missions and advanced capabilities in a complex technical landscape.
Your role will include providing top-notch database engineering expertise in several areas, such as architecture, design, development, requirements analysis, and documentation, while ensuring high-performance and security standards. You will analyze user requirements and develop documentation to support system architecture and design. You’ll engage in database engineering activities, addressing system-related issues, and delivering solutions to challenges like data replication and high availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance for the engineering of large-scale database systems within a complex network environment.
- Collaborate with technical managers, system engineers, and other project team members in an Agile setting.
- Implement database engineering practices while maintaining the engineering rigor for all assigned tasks.
- Participate in Program Increment Planning and related Agile team activities.
- Support the full database life cycle including design, development, implementation, analysis, and retrieval of data.
- Assist in evaluating system improvements, optimization, development, and maintenance efforts.
- Help develop long-term and short-term requirements for database administration and design.
- Engage in translating requirements into database schemas and creating or updating queries and scripts.
- Contribute to defining the architecture of database structures integral to project development.
- Some travel may be required to our Maryland location for quarterly PI Planning meetings.

This position is situated in Maryland (Annapolis Junction), with opportunities available in Alexandria, VA; San Diego, CA; or Aurora, CO, potentially requiring limited travel to Maryland for quarterly planning meetings.
Pay Range
Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00. This range serves as a guideline and is subject to consideration based on responsibilities, experience, and other relevant factors.
