Leidos is excited to welcome a Senior Systems Administrator to our team to support the United States Space Force (USSF) in creating innovative software solutions for Cyber Operations. You will play a critical role in the rapid development of cybersecurity measures aimed at protecting both ground and space assets from cyber threats. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a robust problem-solving skill set and a track record of delivering exceptional results within high-performance teams in a dynamic environment.
Primary Responsibilities :
Design, maintain, and monitor both internal and external networks.
Oversee the implementation and management of systems, applications, security protocols, and network configurations.
Identify and resolve network performance issues while developing disaster recovery plans; recommend necessary upgrades and new technologies.
Provide technical support and guidance to users, ensuring seamless operations.
Utilize professional expertise and discretion to achieve organizational goals.
This role requires privileged access, adhering to DODM 8570.01M guidelines.
Basic Qualifications :
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Active DoD Secret Clearance is essential.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field with 10 years of relevant experience, or a Master's Degree in the same fields with 8 years of relevant experience.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems and Microsoft Exchange Server, along with some experience in RHEL operating systems administration.
Proven experience in effective communication and collaboration in high-performance team settings.
Expertise in Group Policy design and configuration.
Familiarity with CISCO networking and switching along with virtualization technologies.
Solid understanding of LAN and WAN technologies, including data backup solutions.
Knowledge of communication security policies and their integration (COMSEC).
Relevant experience working with IL4 and above network environments / systems.
In-depth understanding of DoD policies regarding system and network administration.
Experience applying the Risk Management Framework in network and information system environments.
Proficiency in programming languages including Bash scripting and Python.
Must possess at least one of the following certifications : CCNA, Security , CCDE, or DoD 8140 Advanced Proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications :
A Top Secret (TS) security clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility is highly preferred.
Experience in a relevant DoD or Industry role within the Space Systems Command.
Background in Defensive Cyber Operations, specifically with the SSC / SZWO program office, is advantageous.

Pay Range :
Pay Range : $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
