Leidos’s Health IT Division team currently has an immediate opening for a Social Security Administration (SSA) Lead Technical Architect.
Leidos is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Lead Technical Architect for its SSA Portfolio. This position will be instrumental in supporting the strategic direction and technological vision for our SSA customer, with a focus on providing solutions, digital modernization, and the integration of advanced technologies to meet the evolving needs of the SSA. The Lead Technical Architect will work closely with Leidos leadership, operations, and engineering teams to drive technological innovation and ensure the alignment of Leidos’ solutions with customer needs and business objectives.
The Lead Technical Architect will be responsible for the architecture and design of next-generation solutions, overseeing technical execution, ensuring the delivery of scalable, secure, and innovative systems, and driving the development of new business opportunities. This position will require strategic thinking, deep technical expertise, and an ability to engage with senior executives in the government.
Primary Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership : Support the Leidos partnership with SSA in advancing their technical vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business objectives.
- Technology and Innovation Leadership : Support the development of cutting-edge, forward-thinking technology solutions for digital modernization, focusing on customer-specific needs, and cost-efficiency.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement : Build and maintain strong relationships with key SSA stakeholders, including needs, market dynamics, and emerging technology trends.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration : Support cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, business development) in the development and delivery of innovative, high-quality solutions. Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture that drives excellence.
- Solution Architecture & Integration : Support and provide technical leadership around the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, secure, and interoperable solutions across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements at the SSA.
- Emerging Technologies : Stay ahead of industry trends, evaluating and integrating new technologies (e.g., AI / ML, cloud, data analytics, cybersecurity) to enhance Leidos’ value add for our SSA customer.
- Risk & Performance Management : Identify and mitigate technical risks across the SSA Portfolio. Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes, ensuring successful program execution within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Executive-Level Communication : Lead discussions and present complex technical concepts to customers, and external stakeholders in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.

Pay Range :
Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00
