About This Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer/Purchasing professional to join our team. As a key member of our Strategic Sourcing team, you will be responsible for procuring IT hardware, maintenance/support materials, data, goods/services, and components.
Key Accountabilities
- Negotiate favorable prices and terms for higher complexity procurements
- Administer purchase orders, maintain files, and manage supplier relationships
- Create solicitations, support proposals, and conduct price/cost analysis
- Complete high-risk procurements and complex supplier negotiations
- Recommend procurement process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 4 years of related experience (additional relevant experience, training, or certification may be accepted in lieu of a degree)
- Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- Experience buying tangible goods
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
