Leidos is excited to announce an opening for an Inventory Management Specialist at our Ladson, SC facility. Join the dynamic Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team, where we are dedicated to developing cutting-edge screening technology. Our new facility will manufacture a complete suite of fully automated products for aviation, shipping ports, border crossings, and critical infrastructure. These systems play a crucial role in threat detection by screening baggage, cargo, and individuals at checkpoints around the globe.
We are looking for individuals who are adaptable and open to working a staggered workweek with hours between 8 am-5 pm, including potential overtime and weekends.
As an Inventory Management Specialist , you will support our operations by engaging in various warehouse tasks including pulling, picking, stocking, shipping, receiving, and conducting transactions in our MRP system in line with manufacturing needs and customer demands.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee outbound activities in support of production operations for domestic and international shipments.
- Pull and pack items, preparing pallets, crates, and boxes for shipping.
- Process shipments via UPS, FEDEX, or common LTL freight carriers.
- Utilize the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool to manage and assure inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to prioritize tasks for timely customer fulfillment.
- Maintain a clean working environment through general housekeeping activities.
- Assist with additional warehouse tasks such as kit pulling, stock put-aways, and cycle counts as needed.
- Develop strategies to meet established shipping metrics.
- Gather and confirm material orders required for assembly operations.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.
- Create and label all inventory items accurately.
- Organize and ensure proper documentation for all shipping activities.
