Leidos is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to become an integral part of our warehouse operations in Springfield, VA. If you have experience managing the full lifecycle of hardware and software assets, from defining requirements to disposal, we want you to apply!
Key Responsibilities :
- Fabricate shipping labels with precision, ensuring correct formatting and shipping address accuracy.
- Coordinate any special shipping requirements as needed.
- Document and maintain accurate shipping activity files for effective tracking.
- Provide daily summaries of shipping and billing activities to program administration.
- Conduct periodic inventory checks on shipping materials to maintain adequate stock.
- Enter data accurately into the existing CDLS automated Logistics Database.
- Inspect packages upon delivery for any visible damage and notify the shipper if issues are found.
- Verify shipment types against received documents and notify relevant personnel of received parts.
- Maintain department receiving files with up-to-date information.
- Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and well-maintained.
- Support and participate in periodic warehouse inventory activities.
- Collaborate with management to resolve any order discrepancies or issues.
- Cross-train with coworkers to develop a comprehensive understanding of various warehouse functions.
