About the Role:
This position is a key member of Leigh Fibers commercial team acting as an internal sales representative, providing support to the external sales team, and serving as the administrator for Leigh’s marketing and trade show efforts. Much of this work will be done through phone, email, and online channels. At all times, this individual will serve in a fashion that is aligned with the stated core values of Leigh Fibers, LLC.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Promote and uphold Leigh Fiber’s set of core values as posted throughout the organization.
- Actively search for new sales opportunities, through various methods, like online databases, cold calling, email campaigns, inbound inquiries, and trade show follow-up.
- Perform initial discovery, on sales leads, to determine the customer’s needs and buying potential in order to filter out unqualified leads.
- Contact prospects via phone, email, and other digital channels to present Leigh Fiber’s products and services.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in the customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Provide internal support, to field-based sales representatives, on topics such as sample requests, internal follow-up needed, customer service issues, and pricing requests.
- Provide support to the Director of Sales, by coordinating marketing efforts (with 3rd parties) and management of trade shows.
- Coordinate with the commercial team, and third parties, to create marketing collateral and a marketing schedule that involves email blasts, press releases, and social media account postings.
- Monitor website traffic and SEO trends to ensure Leigh Fiber’s has a strong online presence.
- Periodic overnight travel to trade shows and/or customer visits as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in CRM software allows the representative to track customer interactions and manage sales pipelines efficiently.
- Analytical skills are utilized to interpret market data and refine sales strategies, ensuring that outreach efforts are targeted and effective.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools enhances the representative's ability to collaborate with the marketing team on campaigns that drive engagement.
- Overall, a combination of sales acumen and marketing knowledge is vital for achieving success in this role.
- Social and interpersonal skills necessary to feel comfortable cold calling prospects and telling the Leigh Fibers story.
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and build trust across cross-functional teams.
- Strong, internal drive to learn, grow, and be part of a winning team.
- The ability to handle the rejection and frustrations of cold calling while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office applications, CRM software proficiency, managing of social media accounts, and document creation.

- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crawl, push, pull, reach, stand, squat, and walk throughout an 8-hour workday
