What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Cabinetry/Millwork Drafter position at LEIGHTON DESIGN GROUP LLC?
We are searching for the right team player to provide architectural millwork (cabinetry) drafting for detailed interior construction sets. This will be a full time position after a 90 day probation period, with a possible pay increase based upon experience and performance. Please allow 1 hour of time for a drafting skills evaluation in addition to interview time.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Applicants must have proficient computer skills in AutoCAD drafting with the knowledge and ability to read and interpret permit sets and construction documents. This position requires critical thinking, attention to details and to be able to work independently and along with peers, clients and vendors.
Must be able to:
• Adapt and follow our file and drawings set up.
• Work with xrefs and layers.
• Manage and understand viewports.
• Fully comprehend building design, kitchen and bathroom design and develop elevations from design sketches and redlines.
• Knowledge of furniture space planning and scale
• Dimension plans and elevations in a clear and efficient manner.
• Tag and fill out schedules.
• Understand and comprehend product specification sheets.
• Field measure and create floor plans per existing conditions, including locating basic plumbing, mechanical and electrical.
• Assist with digital presentations, using presentation software: Photoshop and PowerPoint/ Google slides.
• Sketch-up a plus.
