Printing Pressroom Supervisor

Job Description

Premier pharmaceutical package printing company in the Raleigh, NC region is searching to hire a day shift Pressroom Supervisor to oversee offset printing operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Direct, lead and monitor web and sheetfed offset printing operations.
• Schedule 15 employees and several presses to maximize production output.
• Assist press operators with production/press/color issues.
• Quality and on-time production of printed products.
• Ensure that Continuous Improvement Practices are adhered to and monitored.
• Work closely with production department managers and plant management to ensure jobs are meeting and/or exceeding client expectations.
• Promote a positive work environment that encourages development and learning.
• Employee training and mentoring.
  
  

Qualifications include:

• Minimum of 5 - 7 years' leadership experience in offset pressroom operations; web and sheetfed preferred.
• Proven track record using Lean Mfg. or Continuous Improvement Practices in a printing environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of offset web and sheetfed printing.
• Working knowledge of folding carton and folded leaflet manufacturing a plus.
• Experience working in pharmaceutical package printing a plus.
• Excellent employee relationship mentoring and team building skills.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• PC proficient.
