Sheetfed Pressroom Manager

Job Description

JOB IS LOCATED OUTSIDE OF NASHVILLE, TN. COMPANY PROVIDES GENEROUS RELOCATION PACKAGE.

Premier sheetfed printing company in TN is busy. Due to client demand they are hiring a Pressroom Manager to oversee printing operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Direct and lead 10 - 12 press operators on multiple 40" sheetfed presses.
• Schedule and oversee jobs ensuring orders are produced on time according to client specifications.
• Train, hire, and discipline pressroom employees as needed.
• Schedule maintenance and preventative maintenance on presses.
• Assist with troubleshooting press issues and repairs.
• Order pressroom consumables materials and maintain inventories.
• Work closely with vendors.
• Work with plant and production managers to stay on schedule.
• Occasionally operate press when someone calls in.
  
  

Qualifications include:

• Minimum 3 - 5 years' leadership experience in 40" sheetfed printing operations.
• Excellent troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
• Excellent communication and skills.
• Employee training experience.
• Experience operating 40" sheetfed presses.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Attention to detail and quality standards.
• Experience ordering pressroom materials and working with vendors.
• Experience using Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement Practices a plus.
