Job Title: General Maintenance Worker

Summary
This General Maintenance Worker position performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.
This position is subject to the terms and conditions of the agreement between Pacartic, LLC & Leisnoi Professional Services, LLC and the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 99-99A, AAFL-CIO for Department of State Associated Annexes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
The duties and responsibilities of a General Maintenance are all geared toward maintaining a clean, safe and efficient construction site while also supporting the overall project.
- Responsible for replacing electrical receptables, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.
- Repair or replace sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
- Perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
- Perform general maintenance PMs on HVAC equipment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma and 5 years’ experience.
- Demonstrated skill and comfort in proactively building relationships.
- Innovative thinker, with a track record for translating and executive strategic plans.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.
- Active or Interim Top Secret Clearance Preferred. Must be able to be granted and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
Working Environment & Conditions
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ths work load may require the incumbent to stand for extended periods of time. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities reqired by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Includes travel to local, remote and out of state locations.
