Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Travel Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting clients in planning and booking their travel experiences. You will leverage your knowledge of the hospitality industry and travel planning to create memorable journeys tailored to individual preferences. Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to understand their travel needs and preferences.
- Provide expert advice on destinations, accommodations, and activities.
- Plan and organize travel itineraries, including flights, hotels, and transportation.
- Handle bookings and reservations efficiently while ensuring accuracy.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
- Sells International & Domestic vacation packages, cruises, tours, hotel, car rental, rail and air travel.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Basic computer (e.g., Microsoft Word, Outlook, etc.) and industry specific applications (e.g., Galileo, VAX, etc.) and telephone skills.
- GDS experience required (Apollo/Galileo/Travelport).
- Knowledge of travel products and worldwide geography, the ability to read and interpret maps and brochures.
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to listen to members’ needs.
- communication skills are a plus.
Education & Experience / Licenses & Certification
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- 2 years of recent experience selling international and domestic travel services.
- Experience working with sales and service standards and goals.
- Travel Institute certification as “CTA, CTC, or CTIE” (preferred).Stay updated on industry trends, promotions, and travel regulations.
- Researches, evaluates and compares appropriate Travel Partner packages to match up with member needs for the purpose of “delivering exceptional member experiences” in every transaction.
- Stays current with world events and latest travel industry developments and trends, and provides relevant information to members.
- Processes and interprets travel documents for members purchasing travel products and inform them of governmental requirements.
- Initiates contact with members and past customers to prospect for new business and encourages repeat business.
- Collaborate with hotels, airlines, and other service providers to secure the best options for clients.
- Resolve any issues or concerns that may arise before or during the trip.
Experience
- Proven experience in customer service within the hospitality or travel industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with hotel operations and travel planning processes.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell services effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $26.60 - $28.35 per hour
